Who can join Camp Polaris?

Camp Polaris warmly welcomes all adventurous souls ready to dive into the Burning Man experience and fully embrace its 10 principles and our motto: Love and care for each other.

How does the admission process work?

Our selection process ensures we're all on the same frequency and guides new campers every step of the way.

Fill out our application form. Once submitted, sit tight and wait for your interview call.
During the interview, let's get to know each other better and address any lingering questions.
Once approved, finalize your camp cost share fee, and you're officially part of the Polaris family!

Are there any important dates I should remember?

Absolutely! Here are some key dates to keep in mind:

Deadline for camp applications: Applications are currently open and they go on a first-come-first-served basis. We encourage you to apply soon!
Deadline for camp cost share fee: We expect a successful applicant to make payment within the first 5 days after their application has been approved. That said, final admission to the camp can only be guaranteed based on the time and date of the payment on a first-come-first-served basis.
Deadline for purchasing Burning Man tickets: All ticket-related information is available on the Burning Man website.

What's the vibe like at Polaris?

Get ready for a whirlwind of dancing, sharing, exploring, and connecting! At Polaris, we live by our motto: love and care for each other, just as we know you will too.

WHAT IS THE CAMP COST SHARE?

To ensure the best experience, there's a cost share fee involved. But rest assured, every penny goes toward managing the event and supplies for the current year.

Camp Access with Tent Space: USD $900
Camp Access with Tent Space & Bike: USD $1,000
RV Parking Spot: USD $1,500 (per RV)

Please kindly note that in addition to the RV fee, each person joining in the RV will also be required to contribute towards the camp access cost share fee.

What's provided at the camp?

Polaris has an in-camp chef that prepares meals with many dietary restrictions in mind. Polaris is an inclusive global community of campers and if communicated in advance, we do our absolute best to accommodate majority of dietary preferences.

In addition to meals, we offer shade structure from the elements, bikes, drinking water, shower capabilities, fireside chats, and charging stations for phones.

What's on the menu at Polaris?

Our in-house chef serves up healthy and nutritious meals, catering to all dietary preferences, to keep you fueled for the adventure ahead.

Are there any camp duties during the stay?

As part of our commitment to the principles of decommodification and communal effort, campers are encouraged to participate in community service by volunteering for two shifts throughout the week.

Can I bring an RV?

We've got limited spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're bringing an RV, be sure to reserve your spot and pay the designated fee, which includes 2 water fill ups, 2 grey water pumps per week, and access to fuel for generators.

Can I bring a car?

Absolutely! You're welcome to bring your own car. However, please note that vehicle parking is limited and we only have a few spots available. In addition to parking permits required by Burning Man organization, we ask for a $100 donation to reserve a space. Please let us know in advance if requesting a parking space.
